New Mouser 12 inch vinyl miniLP

The first ever 12-inch vinyl platter from Dutch old school punk heroes MOUSER will be out on Friday September 18th, and the 'official' launch will take place that same evening at Wolbodo in the band's hometown Delft. Mouser's self-titled mini-LP (cat# SUCA15LP) comprises six slices of glorious punk rock (plus a bonus cut dedicated to Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff), that will delight any fan of the genre. Mouser hits you with “¡No Pasarán!”. This is the real deal, high-octane, eighties-inspired hardcore punk that doesn’t mess around. Mouser represents that elite tier of Dutch punk that understands the power of a driving bassline and a vocal delivery that sounds like someone yelling through a chain-link fence. It’s fast, it’s focused, and it’s one of the strongest arguments for why the eighties sound still feels so dangerous in the right hands.

De beste song heb ik voor het laatst gehouden. “¡No Pasaran!” van is ziedende revolutionaire hardcorepunk. Mouser zijn een Nederlandse old-school punkband (uit Delft) maar ze zingen hier (enkel dit nummer) in het Spaans. “¡No Pasaran!” is een antifascistische song en ze klinken enorm kwaad. Alleen al voor deze geweldige track zou ik persoonlijk dit compilatie-album kopen. Hun andere nummer heet “Mr. Greed”, klinkt minder als dolle razernij (meer old-school seventies punk dan hardcore) en is in ’t Engels. “¡No Pasaran!” is de titelsong van hun vorig jaar verschenen 7” EP en deze staat nu op mijn wantlist.
